I retired quite a few years ago from a lifelong love affair with my job as a gelogist. I worked in many countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe and speak several languages, including Spanish, Danish, English and a bit of German. I love writing essays and short stories and from time to time dabble in a bit of poetry, although some may disagree with that designation.
I was born in Fredericia, Denmark, but left when I was very young and since then have called Canada my permanent home. Although I have lived in several provinces and been in them all, I prefer to live in Nova Scotia, which has a fairly mild climate, good for gardening and it is blessed with with wonderful seashores, beaches, woods. farms and scenic small villages. Halifax and Dartmouth are both vibrant cities where one can enjoy all the trimmings that comes with a city of 400 thousand inhabitants.
I'm no longer a young person, but life has many phases to it and I enjoy the one I'm going through these years. I cook,bake, write, garden, carve (wood) and experiment with photography. My cam corder is a constant companion on my trips around Nova Scotia and I spend many days each winter editing the videos I have taken. Life is an open book, filled with excitement and adventure.
