April Thompson

April D. Thompson is a tech savvy marketing manager with nearly a decade of sales, marketing and technology experience in the public and private sectors.

April is a social media enthusiast and self proclaimed travel addict. She chronicles her travel experiences on her personal blog, Absolute Travel Addict, and is a guest writer for other on-line publications such as Do It While You're Young.

In addition to completing her 30 by 30 travel challenge, April aspires to build a travel and tourism marketing consultancy, improve her fluency in Spanish and Portuguese and relocate abroad.

April is a graduate of Mercer University, where she earned a BSE in Computer Engineering and Mathematics. She later completed an MS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. When she's not on the road or in the air, she enjoys Latin dance, ethnic cuisine and mentoring college students and young professionals. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA and is an advocate for education reform.
