Creative investigations, in progress. In true blog fashion this is an ongoing art exploration of drawing, plans, sketchbooks, oil sketches, reading and resource materials, other artist's and lastly the studio: an area of art and artists undefined and often mysterious.
Credentials of the blog come from a deep interest in the arts from artists and writers. Studying Fine Art (BA) at the London University of the Arts and then recently at Glasgow School of Art (MFA), as well as numerous exhibitions, books, magazines, and residencies.
There might be a certain leaning towards my personal interest in anatomy and botany, popular science and darker medical territories.

Call it morbid curiosity but I noticed your post on the Visible Human Project and felt compelled to drop by. I recently took on a piece covering "Bodies: The Exhibition", so am quite fascinated by similar stuff. There's such a beauty in the symmetry from this perspective - I almost forgot I was viewing a journey from head to toe! Great blog - I'll be back for another dose!

I agree, seeing the inside of a body has a strange attraction to it. Actually if you see very old history anatomical illustrations you'll find von Hagen's Bodyworlds positions many of his cadaver's that way. Glad u found this blog!

Is it strange to say there a lot of artists out there who don't -yet!- make work? It just needs a touch of inspiration and practice to get one going I guess. Hope to see u in the future!... now, I'm off back to painting
