You're a sure pass candidate for a contemporary philosopher. Why not join me in that arena?
Yes, Buddhism is like Confucianism. Just as the former is a free-thinking philosophy, the latter is also a way of thinking like The Tao.
They are interwoven in the great abyss of universal thinking.
God is Alpha and Omega, like your "everything is really just a loop." Our great God has no beginning and no end.His ways are better than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
So let us quit comprehending God according to our limited minds because we are incapable and not worthy to do so.Leave everything to His genius, and unfathomable Mind.
And yes, I'm a free thinker but I'm not a Buddhist.

Wow, nice said!!! Thanks for the comment. One question, so you do believe there is an ultimate source (i.e. God)?
