Personal Me:
I'm a Barcelona-based writer, translator and artist with Midwestern roots. I share my adventures as a Missourian in the world at Midwesternerabroad.com, and write about Barcelona from a guiri-gone-native perspective at Barcelonaforidiots.com. Look for my original art and jewelry at TriflesandQuirks.com.
As a closet foodie and self-proclaimed art addict, I typically blog about the drinks, eats and other cultural attractions I encounter on my trips. In my spare moments, I read obsessively, slurp excessive quantities of coffee and tea, and play with art supplies and kitchen tools. Oh, and travel as much as humanly possible.
Professional Me:
As a professional copywriter, I’ve written everything from 200-word SEO optimized destination guides for international hotel chains, to quarterly e-mail newsletters for small businesses. As a freelance journalist, I’ve produced how-to guides and travel video scripts.
In my many years of experience as a translator, I’ve translated political essays, resumes, catalogues, interviews and publicity materials from Spanish into English and vice versa, in addition to subtitling video content in both languages.
