I grew up in the urban neighborhoods of Southern California. Writing -which was a love of mine as a young child-, became the cathartic way I was able to heal my heart after suffering two traumatic deaths at the same time in 2002. Before that I had always written about fantasy and dreams of true love. As a teenager in the Barrio those dreams of true love diminish quickly when reality sets in. After many tragedies in my life I resorted back to writing in a journal just to keep my mind sane. This time the poetry and lyrics that came out were more raw and uncut, showing all the pain and the truth of how life can be. Although I still write poetry about love, a lot of my poetry is about real life, sadness and heartache. I write about real experiences and about real feelings with the hopes that people out there will also feel what I felt when I wrote it.
You can find my books "Dreaming Casually: Poetry of Love, Life & Loss" & "Dreaming Casually II: Barrio Expressions" on Amazon and Barnes & Noble's websites. You can also download my books on all your e-readers (Nook, Kindle, iPad and all other devices) at Smashwords.com
