Fixing For Friday

Welcome! I'm Shannon, pleased to meet you. I am a creative person whose mind is always running at full speed. I love music, books, movies, and especially creating and making things. I always have - through elementary school, 4-H, high school art class, and beyond, you name it, I have probably dabbled in it. Paper crafts, jewelry, calligraphy - I love it all.

I read a lot of blogs and have a serious Pinterest addiction. They all inspire me, and the urge to have my own blog has become overwhelming. After many nights trying to fall asleep with a million ideas charging through my mind, I finally decided to give it a go. Between my full time job, lengthy commute, and family commitments, it's going to be a tight squeeze - but I'll manage.

I live in a tiny town in the midwest (population 1700) with my fiance and my teenage son. My fiance is a wonderful man and we are currently in the running for the longest engagement - it's only been three and a half years, LOL. My son is, as I said, a teenager; he's a really good kid. We also have two cats and two full size dogs all fighting for space in our small 120+ year old house. We don't have much, but what we do have is each other. And I wouldn't want it any other way.
