GrrlScientist
GrrlScientist has written a blog since 2004. "GrrlScientist" is the online pseudonym for a molecular evolutionary biologist and ornithologist who researches the evolution, ecology and biogeography of the parrots of Oceania, focusing primarily on the lories (loriinae). She earned her PhD in Zoology in 2002 from the University of Washington(Seattle, USA) and worked for two years as the Chapman Postdoctoral Fellow at the American Museum of Natural History (NYC, USA). Currently, GrrlScientist is a science writer who writes about E3: Evolution, Ecology and Ethology, and the subtle relationships between these phenomena, especially in birds. Her writing has appeared in Nature and Science, and she has finally worked up the courage to write her first book. GrrlScientist also writes book reviews and is an avid photographer. She is a proud member of that vast politically liberal conspiracy of secular humanists that your mother warned you about.
