Onika Pointer

My name is Onika Pointer. I am the first born granddaughter and great niece to the famous singing group THE POINTER SISTERS. In my Memoir HUMBLE BASTARD I talk about the privileges and advantages afforded to me as a result of my family's success. But, HUMBLE BASTARD also address how some of that privilege came with pain.. Abused by my mother for seventeen years, I reveal the darkness in my life-weight issues, suicide attempts, homelessness a near death tragic accident and the deaths of those close to me.
Born with a sixth sense that allows me to see past time and before time ,I looked within myself and discovered my own personal strength and prevails. HUMBLE BASTARD speaks to anyone that has survived a traumatic accident or has lived through similar situations that I have and demonstrates that hopes,goals,and inner peace are all attainable.

I spend my time making movies, auditioning, volunteering, writing, and hiking when I can. I'm fascinated with the afterlife and the moon. I love the ocean though I'm terrified of black water which is lake water at night. I still believe in the power of LITERATURE ........
