Ishidee

Art is one of my passions, and I have developed an expression of painting on stones that is unique. I represent my art as "Ishi" (which translates rock or stone, in Japanese). I began to photograph my "Ishi Stones", in complimentary compositions. I call these "Ishi Photographs", which are produced in signed, numbered, Limited Editions. Along with the Stones, I started to paint my designs on wooden boxes, gourds, & note cards. I have added printed note cards, mouse pads, ceramic mugs, & T-shirts, with calenders to come. I started beading in 2010, as a desire to add some simple stone jewelry to my art gallery. Beading, & collecting unique pendants, soon became an obsession, &, as the jewelry overtook the gallery, I decided to open a shop, on Etsy, at: http://JewelrybyIshi.etsy.com , just for the jewelry. I use semi-precious stones, coral, abalone, and other shells, as well as, cloisonne pendants & beads, freshwater pearls, combined with metal spacer beads to create my unique jewelry. I am passionate for Cloisonne, enamel pendants & beads. I search for Vintage cloisonne & combine it with complementary beads. Other pendants range from semi-precious stone carvings, Dichroic Glass, Mother of Pearl, Abalone, Wood carvings, Vintage designer, & many other forms.
In my pursuit of interesting pendants, I became interested in Vintage Costume Jewelry. It has, now, become a passion of mine, as well.
