I have been reading and writing for most of my life, and I love both. My favorite subjects to read about are travel and history. My two favorite things to write about are history and geography. I write about places I have traveled to, and about places I would like to travel to. I also write about things I see on television and read in newspapers and online.

My first post to my blog is dated April 18, 2010, and I have blogged at least once a day since then. I will continue to blog at least once a day for as long as I can.

Hi. I have no idea what a featured blogger is, seeing that I just joined Bloggers. What caught my eye was the fact that you are interested in geography and history. Specically, what kind of history are we talking about here? My own interests in the subject are centered on U.S. history from the early colonial period to around the Civil War.
As for geography, when I was a kid, I loved maps. Occasionally, I consult an old atlas (100 years old!)that's as useful today as it was way back then for when I'm reading about famous battles and such.
I think you're interest in the two subjects may show a keen interest in how they both relate to important areas like politics, religion, etc. Good luck with it!
