I was excited to see your blog. God is good even though some of His people forget who they are. Prayer is the strongest Christian tool. Use it to the fullest!

Darrens Eministry ∙ 19 Nov, 09

check out my blog at www.darrenoates.webs.com I was inspired by the author Rick Warren and his book : The purpose driven life.

After a 9 day stay at my local correctional facility, I had a chance thru absteince , and solidtude to review my life at 47 and read this book along with the bible.

My lord has delivered me from cigarette smoking, drug use, an a over whelming sex addiction,AND GREAT HEALTH AND WELLNESS AFTER BEING DIAIGNOST WITH A LIFE THREATNING ILLNESS IN 1990,praise the lord!!

I was called by my GOD to start this e-ministry, and to just share or testify, how my high power has worked in my life..

I INVITED ALL WHO COME HERE TO SHARE AND GIVE THANKS FOR ALL THE GRACE AND BLESSING YOUR GOD HAS GIVING YOU...

I concurr. I loved church as a child, then when I was ten I had something horrible happen to me at church by someone who was supposed to take care of me. I have moved on from that, but adding on the behavior of certain so-called Christians and the social club environment, I don't think going to church is worth it. I praise God in my own way. The one time I tried to go back I had an anxiety attack and the youth minister said it was because the devil was in me. He was close. It was what the devil did to me. If I could find a church that didn't behave so rightuosly indignant maybe I would attend again.

Angiekay ∙ 21 Jul, 09

Sorry about what happened to you as a child. In my opinion your youth pastor was wrong. I don't think the devil was in you because you had an anxiety attack. Fear is from the devil. TIMOTHY 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and a sound mind. I have say that verse a lot to myself. Once in a while I will have an attack. I also have been church hurt, but I am sure it was not in the same way you have. I think church hurt is the worst kind of hurt someone can experience. If you do desire to go to church, just pray about it and the Lord will guide you. There are some great churches out there, and pastors who are not afraid to stand for what is right.

I think what bothers me the most is the absolute "garbage" that goes on in churches. Gossip, back-biting, negative criticism, complaints. The Pastors do it as much as anyone. This is not what our Lord intended.

Angiekay ∙ 27 Jun, 09

No, He does not want that from His children. I guess no church will be perfect because we live in a fleshly body. We will never be perfect until we get to heaven. Even though we are not perfect it does not make it right to do those things if you are a child of God.

Rochala ∙ 24 Jun, 09

Very good!:) I too am a believer, and so glad. Had some major tragedies in our family over the last year, and if it were not for my faith I don't think I could have gotten through it all. Praise the Lord, He is still active in the world today.

Angiekay ∙ 25 Jun, 09

Yes, He is alive and is very active in this world. He blesses those that love Him and puts Him first in their lives. He is wonderful and worthy of all the praise.
