My Pen Name is Marie Drake, but my full name is Tina Marie Drake Gibbons. My mom always calls me Marie.
My early love of drawing combined with my addiction to crochet lead to my designing crochet patterns. I have an online business where I sell thousands of patterns I have designed. I also have a website where many of the things, jewelry, clothing, afghans I have crocheted are on display, and some are for sale.
I am a serious baker. I sell my cookies, fudge, cakes, and other pastries and confections locally. They are quite famous around here, even if only for a hundred miles.
The part I played in my children's lives, the ones in my daycare, and the children we fostered in our home will forever be my greatest and proudest accomplishment.
I have harbored a love for writing since highschool. I am very proud to have completed and published my first book.
I live in a small town near Lake Ontario with my husband, and our four boys. I ran my own home daycare for over 10 years, and then my husband and I dedicated ourselves to being foster parents. We fostered 15 children over 5 years. At times, we were raising as many as 8 children in our home.
I spend as much time reading as possible. I love a good romance or suspense novel. I have decided to try to help other authors by accepting review requests for books. I will review ebooks. I will accept indie authors. I am an avid reader. I will post reviews on my blog, and also on Shelfari, GoodReads, and LibraryThing.
