My Life as a First Year Student in MSU-IIT
In life, we have a lot of journey, we have been through anywhere, live everywhere. How can we able to survive independently in a new world we belong even if we are not familiar in that kind of society around us? Are we getting down or think of giving up? We may encounter different people with different attitudes and characteristics. How can we socialize with them in order to go with the flow of life?
During my first few days as a first year student here in MSU-IIT I felt alone and sad because I don’t have enough friends yet. I am the only one who was roaming around the campus to find where my next class was located. At first, I was thinking of going home because I really miss my family especially my mother who used to prepare my breakfast every day, washed my clothes, and slept beside me every night. But then I realized that I choose to study here though it is far away from them for me to have a better future. I have to do this because I wanted to help my family and pay them back for all the good things they had done for me. From that time I always keep in mind that I will study and finish college here in MSU-IIT in the best that I can do.
But later on I started to gain confidence in order to mingle with other people. Day by day I met more friends and I knew some people. That is why even in a short period of time I have already plenty of friends in our school especially my classmates, for we are together most of the time. I had a lot of fun with them. We always talk together, sharing jokes together, telling experiences and even some of their love lives. I can’t forget the enjoyment and happiness we shared for each other.
Some says that if you are a student of MSU-IIT, you can experience sleeping too late at night just to study your lessons or to prepare an exam for tomorrow. I could proudly say that as a first year student here in MSU-IIT, I had experienced it already. There was a time that I could not sleep in the whole night just to study Math 17 for we will be having an exam in the next day. Aside from those stress that we gain in studying our lessons, there were also time for having fun. Some of these were Charter Day and Palakasan where you could see students playing under the heat of the sun. There were also students who keep on shouting and cheering to show their supports for their players in each college. There I saw the spirit of sportsmanship from the very beginning until the end of the game.
Even if we are far away from home and even if we gain too much stress in studying our lessons, but still it is all worth it as long as you can be able to see passing grades at the end of the semester. The fun that we had experience inside this school in which no certain amount of money could ever buy is such a big treasure for us. Even if we suffer a lot and even how big our sacrifices are, let us keep in mind that at the end, this struggles are always be crowned with victory and glory.
