Lupe Castro is one of London’s most loved fashion stylists and she is embarking on an epic journey that will have her traversing the globe, and all will be recorded digitally on this blog, Ms. Castro on a Motorbike. This 40, or maybe even 50-something (we’ll keep you guessing), will be traveling throughout Europe, Canada, New Zealand and Central America, all on the back of a motorbike (and perhaps a plane or two and the odd boat, and a car), driven by a man we’ll know simply as, Mr. P, and with only a very small compartment for her clothes, shoes, accessories and makeup. Along the way she will visit and stylishly report on the famous food festivals in Spain, the sumptuous boutiques dotting France and the exotic cultures of Central America. Over the past four decades, this chic London-born adventurer has shared her time between the beautiful lands of England, France, Monaco, Spain and The Canary Islands. No matter what stage of her life she was in, Lupe’s haven has always been fashion, whether it is working as a freelance stylist or as a fashion writer and image consultant. “At the age of 8 I was creating fashion pieces on my math notes to dress my mother. I have always loved fashion”. Even during her brief stint as a vineyard owner, Lupe allegedly wore stilettos everyday. Lupe co-founded and contributes to a handful of top fashion websites and she has a strong penchant for the ethical side of the industry, which she got involved in long before it became cool.
