A President filled with hope.
July 23, 2012 at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City, where PNoy declares the Talumpati sa Kalagayan ng Bansa. I am not a fan on matters concerning on our political issues. For me, my name will not be mentioned, so why would I listen? Since this is one of our school requirement so I must force myself to comply it. As I listened to President Benigno Aquino, I was shocked and amazed on how he delivers his speech. What I mean is that, you can see how confident and smart he is. While being impressed on PNoy, I have realized that I have to give importance on my right to be informed as a person. And there are qualities that I have observed on PNoy which leads me to give my opinion. That our President is :
A TRUE LEADER- The President made his stand very clear—that he was not going to be bullied into giving away what is rightfully ours, while on the same breath, emphasized that he is exerting all efforts into finding a resolution that is acceptable to all.
AGGRESSIVE- he articulated his dream of strengthening the country, both economically and militarily, to allow us to assert our sovereignty on what is truly ours. On the social front, significant progress has been made in health care, agrarian reform, human resource development and education.
A MAN WHO PROTECT RIGHTS OF PEOPLE- regarding health care reform,on poverty and public assistance, crime fighting bills, economic bills, human rights and anti-discrimination bills, ethics reform bills, veteran’s affairs and many others.
FAIR- The President may know everything but he should know whom to appoint to their cabinet and when to listen to them. Once they understand the problem and form a solution they need to have the leadership to share that vision with the country and direct efforts to achieve that goal.
LOYAL- The President’s words were neither provoking nor submissive, but definitely clear and firm. It is the right balance that we need at this time. P-Noy has been accused of not having a concrete vision for the country, a vision well spelled out in detail. Sure, he spoke lengthily about abolishing poverty by clamping down on corruption, but this came across as mere rhetoric rather than an honest to goodness national aspiration. This frustrated many Filipinos, especially those in the academe, in economic circles, and in industry.
LOOKING OUT FOR CHILDREN'S FUTURE- The President spoke about transforming the economy into a vibrant machine capable of serving the needs of our people from infancy, to adolescence and onwards to adulthood.
OPEN-MINDED FOR CHANGES- President said that “responsible parenthood” was the solution to improving the quality of health care and education.
RESPONSIBLE-The President spoke further about putting in place a true, universal and holistic health care program, achieving rice sufficiency and establishing a reign of peace in Mindanao.
SMART- having a brain that works. Well versed in Economics.
WELL-DISCIPLINE- he has morphed into the leader this country has long hankered for…strong-willed, hardworking and morally upright. Success can really change a man, and in this case, for the better.
Let us support President Aquino.
