Kym Ciftci

I love my life and manage to live it somewhere between two cultures in this historically rich, diverse and stunning country that I call home.

I have been living on the Aegean Coast of Turkey for 7 years. I became a Yabanci Gelin 5 years ago when I married a native (once on my knees in a headscarf in front of the Imam and once, in the local Nufus).

My absolute passions are travel and adventure, especially Turkey, especially way off the beaten track and I have been to some absolutely amazing places so far……but I’m not done yet!

I also love: Writing, Reading, Photography, Ancient History and Food. For the writing part; well, along with the blog, I am the owner/editor of: www.ontheege.com a magazine about Turkey and I am currently directing a musical/play that I have written, to be performed on 5th April.....I'm very excited about that!

As for the food; well fortunately we live close to the village and its just a matter of choosing a family door to knock on for dinner :-)
