Hey, I figured it out. Less is more. feed://bloggers.com/Pattimcsee/comments.rss
worked when I took out feed and replaced it with http. I am writing this down here so I can add the student blog addresses when I get them via email any minute now.

However, this is no solution as the rss feed doesn't refresh itself and therefore defeats the purpose!
