Quit The Cure
My name is Lisa. I am a writer, daydreamer, and occasional realist.
I have suffered from depression for over 10 years. For the last two years, I have actually been thriving. I’ve reached the point on my journey where I believe it’s time to say goodbye to my depression medications. However, I’ve been doing lots of research, and I have found out that quitting antidepressants is anything but easy.
I started my blog, "Quit the Cure" in hopes that my journey to quit antidepressants will provide some real life information (and hopefully inspiration) on quitting depression medications and what such an experience is like. I will share any information I find on depression, medications, nutrition, and the like that I think can help anyone out there suffering from depression.
During the process of tapering off my antidepressants I will be under the supervision of a psychiatrist and a therapist, but ultimately it is up to me (and God) on how this will play out.
I will try to write posts as frequently as possible, taking time out to share details on my withdrawal symptoms and some of the tools I use to combat it.
