My first blog post said I used Facebook a whole lot; I still use it but not nearly as much. It is an app on my phone still but I have no time to be bored. I am always doing work, I am at basketball or church. Social media still is not important to me at all, my phone keeps me connected with the people that I want to be connected to and that is all I need. To others Facebook and other social media sites are their life, they would not survive without them. I know everyone has those friends that post a status every five seconds I do not know what those people would do if they did not have a Facebook. I rarely post statuses. Facebook for me is mostly to look at what others have to say and pictures. People use Facebook to connect with friends and family which I can see as being very useful for some people. So overall Facebook to me is not a need but a thing to go to when I am super bored, which is not often anymore. Social media sites to others can be a huge deal and it is part of their everyday life, I would say some people’s lives are revolved around these social media sites.

The only social media I use is Facebook. I did go one whole day without it. It was not too hard I am not addicted like some people. It is just a habit to click the app on my phone because it is my go to when I am bored. The only hard part was I get notifications to my phone and I could not go on to see them. I also post a lot of pictures of my niece and nephew all the time so that was kind of hard not to do. Social media is not a big part of my life at all usually it is just annoying to me. People whining about how bad their lives are or how they parties the night before.
I could go forever without Facebook if I had to but I do like to go on there and look through pictures and stuff like that when I am bored.

Facebook is a place of drama. People have enough courage to write something on Facebook but they will not say it to someone’s face. There are so many whiny posts everyday that people want others to feel bad for them. Girls are really good at swearing and writing paragraphs of smack talk towards other girls and friends will team up together on Facebook posts to attack the other group of people. The thing I want to know is why are people Facebook friends with people they hate? I am but I do not talk to those people it was just they added me and I accepted, but a lot of people argue ad comment rude things on each other’s statuses. Why? Just why is what I would like to know. I have had Facebook drama in the past and it is just the most annoying thing. Girls are seriously the worst, my boyfriends ex girlfriend and her friends would not leave me alone for like two weeks and she was the one doing everything and then she blocked me. They fight over dumb things too it is so childish, I would thing they could grow up and act there age but going on Facebook I see drama daily.

I think Facebook is becoming a hazard for a lot of people. They post so many pictures of them doing drugs or drinking underage. Coaches and future employers look at the social media sites of their players' or employees'. Whenever I go on Facebook I see people liking something about drugs or writing about them, it has increased a whole lot since I have got a Facebook. People think that it does not affect them by liking or posting something on Facebook, but they are wrong that is how a lot of people see others When I see people liking something with drugs I automatically think they use the drug. Underage drinking is a huge problem in today’s society. All I ever hear about from some groups of people is how they partied so much the night before, and then they post pictures on Facebook with their beer can in their hand, so smart. I went to Lockport Township High School, my junior year the coaches checked the Facebook’s of mostly the football players and the cheerleaders. Many of them got caught for having pictures of them drinking on their Facebooks’. They then got suspended from at least one game some sports were more serious with the punishment. Drinking underage in general is pointless and just leads to trouble. Drugs are just dumb at any point in life they are addictive and disgusting. Many people lose job opportunities and their careers get ended from being fired from Facebook posts. So be smart. Make good choices. Post only things you would want everybody and their mother to see or read.

This video is about a mother taking her eleven year old daughter out of the hospital without getting released. The little girl has Leukemia and was being treated for it at Phoenix Medical Hospital. Emily, the little girl, had just had her arm amputated from an infection. She also had a catheter going to her heart and the mother went with the little girl into the bathroom and removed it herself. In my opinion the mother is crazy. The daughter needed medical care and the mother just made her leave. There is no possible legitimate excuse for the mother to remove the girl from the hospital prior to being properly released. Leukemia is a serious illness and it can get very out of hand when not properly treated. The mother and her children just got into a van and left. Police are concerned about Emily and her health. The mother obviously does not care too much about her sick child. The video does not state why she took the young girl out of the hospital but there could not be a reason to not get medical care to correctly remove the catheter which is now open and not closed correctly and can get a very bad infection. The poor girl has no say in anything either because she is so young and sick.

This video explains how a High School English teacher, Charles Salzmann gave drugs to one of his teenage students. He had been a teacher at the school for fifteen years. It was not the first time he tried to give drugs to this student. One time she was sent to his car to get a planner and there were drugs in the floorboard of his car and the student confronted him about it. Another time this teacher handed the drugs to the girl in the hallway. She went home and told her mom, the mother was furious along with many other parents of the children at the school. The student who was approached by this teacher was too horrified to go back to school. Teachers are supposed to teach children not only the everyday lessons but also life skills and common sense. This teacher obviously is not in the right profession and is a disgrace to teachers. I am studying to become a teacher and this is just jaw dropping to me. I have no clue how a man that taught for fifteen years at the same school could even think about doing something like this. Even if he just started there this is so unacceptable on so many levels. First the drugs are illegal, second talking to a student like that especially one of the opposite sex is just asking for trouble.

This video is of a man putting three kittens in zip lock bags, and then freezing them. These kittens were found by a friend of the man who did this. She went to the fridge to get a beer and she heard meows she then opened the fridge to the horrifying site of three kittens in zip lock bags. The kittens were covered in fleas. The man claimed he was trying to get rid of the kittens because his roommate murdered to people the Saturday before. Some people have no sense of humanity anymore. Putting any living thing in a freezer to freeze to die is probably one of the cruelest ways to be put to death. His reasoning did not even make sense I do not know what the kittens had to do with his roommate murdering people. I believe they had a houseful of people that should have been in a mental institution. The roommate murdered two people and then this man froze three kittens and then the roommate’s son was arrested for helping with the murders. The neighbors of theses people were interviewed and they were all horrified it was scary for them to think about. All the man had to do was bring the kittens to a humane shelter and they would have taken them, but instead he froze them and was charged for animal cruelty.

This proves the stupidity of some people. This is a video of a nineteen year old girl who stole a car and then robbed a bank at gun point. Not only did she do those two things, she then made a YouTube video holding up the keys to the stolen car, then fanning the stolen six thousand dollars and she was still wearing the clothes she wore while she stole the car and robbed the bank. I believe social media is making people think they have more power than they actually do. YouTube gives people so much freedom to the point, that one believes that it is okay to make videos like this one and share it on YouTube. Did she honestly think she was not going to get caught?

This is the story of NFL player Jovan Belcher shooting and killing his girlfriend, before going to Arrowhead Stadium and shooting himself in front of his coaches. People today are getting so crazy. They had a little girl together. How is the family supposed to explain to the girl one day that her father killed her mother and then himself?
Children look up to NFL players they are what a lot of young boys aspire to be. When a person does something like this it puts a bad label on so many things. One being the NFL, it was one of their players, no it was not their fault but people look to them to blame. Two: possibly the family. Did they know there were problems? What did they do about it? The NFL did know they were having problem and they got counseling for the couple but obviously it did not work.
I believe there has to be something wrong with a person to just go and shoot a loved one or anyone at that. The girlfriend of this player was loved by his family. In the police video the mother of Jovan called the police after the shooting and referred to 22 year old Kasandra as her daughter.

I use Facebook a whole lot. I think it is more of a habit than anything because it is an app on my cell phone so, when I am bored I just click on it. Social media really is not important to me but, some people think it is. It is some peoples way of connecting with others. To society as a whole, social media is important to stay updated and connected.
