As I write this my nation is approaching a precarious time:

The Congress and their out of control spending
Multiple wars with little to no justification
Entitlement programs putting us into a deficit without any additional government spending (Medicare/Medicaid + Social Security + Debt Interest)
Corruption at every turn.
Many news organizations spewing misinformation/propaganda or leading with noneducational drama; it is safe to say that the electorate is no longer fully informed
The most polarized time in U.S. history since the Civil War
And this is only a portion of the big picture.

There are so many problems plaguing our nations politics that I’m genuinely concerned about my generation’s future. I believe that we are missing two key factors: a moral compass and our politicians’ desire to represent the American people.

I want to make a difference one day, but as a college student I can only do so much. Until I can make a larger impact on American history, I’ll be running this blog.
