We are who we are. I cannot be a person I am not. You cannot be a person you are not. And to pretend to be otherwise hurts each of us as individuals and our relationship to each other in turn. I speak my truth. It may not always match yours. I am no more or less human for my thoughts than you. Experiences shape who we are... but we ultimately decide how to interact with these pieces of our history.
I am not a product of my past. But I will learn and adapt based upon the road I have traveled.
