StandTall-the-Activist is an award winning blogger and winners of BlogHer International Activists Scholarship, 2009 and Women Bloggers Deliver 2011. Her blog focuses on issues of women’s rights, gender, security and a host other relevant development issues. Her blog which is called ‘genderandme’ is a reflection of her blog focus on issues affecting her as a person and affecting the world and its people especially women at large.

She is the Principal partner and CEO of StandTall Consulting, a young consulting outfit focusing on capacity building, skill building, training, research, ICT for Development, policy development and reforms in gender, women’s rights and peace and security thematic areas. Prior to this, she was a project coordinator of Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC). She has also worked in various positions with Development Information Network, Communicating For Change and Baobab for Women’s Human Rights.

She is a contributor to free2run blog that promotes women in political participation and leadership among other adventures she undertakes. She is an open-minded, outspoken lover of nature and people. She is a non-conformist to outdate tradition and culture and she believes in respect for diversity. An ardent lover of cat and passionate feminist!
