A fall from my horse and a midlife crisis caused me to attend the police academy at the age of forty. I worked two years as a police officer and then became a detective. I love my job but keeping a sense of humor can be rough. I decided to write about the lighter side of my adventures. Our small town crime rate sky rocketed when I hit the streets and I really am known as the bad luck detective.

Hi Lauren, Thank you. I will pass your blog onto my daughter, she is a couponaholic. I too enjoy gardening and I love animals. I have two horses and two dogs which is minimal for me. The past year took my two old souls and I miss them still.

Thank you and the abbreviation is fine. Your bio is delightful. Have you found Lucy? I chased hamsters around my house for years when my children were young. The little devils would not stay put and were escape artists in fur.
