I have worked part-time as a news reporter, and have been published in The Meridian Star, The Union Appeal, and Apocalypse Now. I also a published songwriter and on occasion write poetry. I love to blog about anything and everything and if you have a story you would like to tell, I will be happy to work with you on it.
I also survived raising 5 teenagers (two of my own and my brother's three, he passed away) and at least three of them were ADHD. Believe it or not, I still have all of my hair, and my sanity. I've been through quite a lot in my life, so I have lots to write about. Stay tuned.

In reference to your post "Should We Give a Felony Conviction for Failure to Pay Child Support?".
I am the proud father of a beautiful daughter, and after my divorce took her support very seriously. I will never understand "deadbeat fathers" but I agree with you that it does no good putting them in prison. I think that was called "Debtors Prison" before the American revolution. Yes, once again the government has us paying for someone else's mistakes.

Interesting profile! You have really had some experiences! And a songwriter!
I have a little story to tel in that department.
After walking away from a promising journalism career for "love"--long story!--I wound up getting pushed back to writing ten years later in a very strange way: Songs started coming to me--lyrics and melodies.
I thought it odd and figured they were just ones I'd heard on the radio, but nope. So, I started writing them down--even had some local groups perform a few which was really fun. But, since I am neither a musician or singer, the career potential there was really really really low!
Anyway, one thing led to another and here I am with three mystery novels in print and a new nonfiction book launching July 4th.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello and thanks for the follow. I voted for you!
