I'm the father of two boys, who in the past few years have morphed into dudes.
I'm in my early 50's, married, live in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. I'm an alternative health care professional, an ex-Israeli, a cyclist, an atheist, a published writer, a loosely committed practitioner of yoga, meditation, and purposeful aimlessness.
Parenting redefines me in ways that nothing else has. I relate some of my strongest experiences and emotions to my relationships with my two kids. In this blog I try to explore and explain all that. Mostly so I can better understand it myself.

At the top page of many blogs you'd find a sentence that begins with, "I started this blog because..."
I avoid getting into this, mainly because I could probably start a new blog about why I started this blog, i.e. there are plenty reasons, and I could go on and on about it. Suffice it to say that I love writing, and I like to be heard. Don't everybody?
