I have been thermal cooking now for well over a year and the process never stops amazing me. I cannot imagine why this form of cooking which is very popular in the far east still has not caught on in Europe. With the world crying out for energy savings thermal cooking although not going to save the world can surely help a little.
Friends for supper
My thermal cooker is used nearly every day and especially comes into its own when we have friends around. I prepare a meal any time to suit me in the afternoon knowing that it will be ready to eat when we are ready. It also allows me to spend time with our friends instead of being in the kitchen.
Elderly Relatives
Another great use for the thermal cooker is preparing meals for elderly relatives. The first meal I every cooked in my cooker was one for my in-laws. They had invited us up to visit them and we suggested that we would bring lunch. I spent about 15 minutes preparing an Indian dish before putting the inner pot into the insulated outer pot and placing the whole thing in the boot of the car. There it sat for the journey and on our arrival we had a cooked meal ready to serve.
