Just started a blog for the first time ever. Then, even more recently started writing for Examiner.com. I write about tech stuff, free and useful internet resources, cool stuff I find on the web and try to profile up and comers (indy music, video, developers, whoever) when I can... and think they're good.
People who have read my blog leave comments or email me thinking I'm a guy and younger than I am. I'm not sure what that means but I think it's kind of cool in a strange way.
I'm actually a 51 year old grandma. I was raised as a military brat, mostly overseas and came to the U.S. as a citizen "foreigner" when I left the nest. Currently, I live in Las Vegas, which I love, despite the killer heat. (So, I'm kind of a vampire, mostly only coming out at night in the summer.)

Although because the situation is tenuous and just living on a daily basis is often risky business for many... soldiers are needed but... I think we should be moving our troops out of there. The way for the U.S. to help is with aid, infrastructure, schools, etc. I think this would gain us more friends and people whose lives are moving forward are less likely to be swayed by those with extremist ideas. When people have little to look forward to they will reach to anything for salvation. But if people have positive alternatives, they will choose what's good for themselves and their families... but they must be offered an option.

Hi, welcome to the blogging world. I have recently started blogging because my publisher wanted me to get the word about my book out there to all that I can. I have found some wonderful friends from all over the world and enjoy the blogging. I am also a grandmother and proud of it. I understand about the heat. It is hot out there.

How's it going with your blog? In the meantime, I've started writing for Examiner.com and have profiles for both on Twitter. I'm not sure I'm convinced about the usefulness of Twitter though. ;0)
