I like the design of Still Life. The colors and basic layout work well together. You may consider changing the Adsense ad in the sidebar In my browser, it hangs over the sidebar and is very unappealing. Other than that, the design is very nice.
The content isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I can see how it would appeal to others. I would suggest using borders around your images. I believe it would make them mesh better with the page instead of just looking pasted on. You can easily add borders using iaza.com. That's just a person preference, though. The quotes and captions a nice addition as well.
Overall, still life is an above-average blog. It's nearly an excellent blog, but lacks something that would separate it from other blogs that are like it.
