Exactly who is the blogger from Mount Pleasant Village, Nassau- Bahamas? He is Dennis Arthur Dames, born: January 17, 1966 to Wilmore and Shirley (nee Beneby) Dames. He is the 6th of 12 children, and was educated like most of his siblings- in the public school system of The Bahamas.

The blogger has an active history of political and social activism in the islands. He is well known and appreciated for his leadership and dedicated efforts as President of the Student National Action Party (SNAP), at C.C.Sweeting Sr. High School in February of 1983 and months later, for better working and learning conditions for teachers and students alike. The human plight of the students at C.C.Sweeting Senior High at that time, and the intense demonstrations that were instigated as a result- are viewed as possibly the greatest students' revolt in the history of The Bahamas.

Hi Dennis, I was surprised that there wasn't a way to comment on your Political Bahamas blog. Maybe you don't want to have to argue what you are posting about, which is legitimate! Reading your article about the WikiLeaks, I think it is a good thing that it gets in the public. This removes speculation when it only appears on something such as WikiLeaks and it certainly makes the politics accepting and helping with the disclosure stronger. Personal thought... 8-)

Greetings Alexis:

I have disabled comments on http://political-bahamas.blogspot.com/ , and others - to allow readers who wish to to do so on posts, to do it at the source site.

Indeed, WikiLeaks is a blessing in disguise... and politicians are not too happy about their behind the scenes movements being made public.

I believe that in The Bahamas' upcoming general election, more of the WikiLeaks cables will be made public, and many will cry foul.

It's fun to watch...

Ah! I did not realized it was from another source...

I just heard yesterday morning that the American soldier who actually sent all (or a large number) of those documents to WikiLeaks was to stand trial very soon... and his case doesn't look good.

Ah... if we could have knowledge of all the things our politics do... the landscape would quickly change!
