Here you will find art, music, fashion and beauty that I love and everything in between that I enjoy and think you will too. I encourage your opinions and hope that this will be a place where you will share your passions with me too!

Growing up I was always drawn to the darker side. My favorite movies consisted of fantasy films such as Legend, Labyrinth, Splash, and later Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Hocus Pocus, etc. And my favorite series growing up was The Munsters. I often rooted for the villains in Disney films because let’s face it, they had way better clothes and were far more interesting than the princesses.

My love for fantasy and the darker side of beauty parlayed me into having a unique love for the more “costume-y” side of fashion. I love gothic and pinup fashions in particular. I love makeup, from a great classic red lipstick to a deep Poison Ivy shade of green. I consider myself a poorman’s art collector and have a love of the lowbrow art movement including artists such as Mark Ryden, Lori Earley, Camille Rose Garcia, John John Jesse, Tara McPherson, Handiedan and Brian Viveros.

This is not to say I don’t enjoy more mainstream things such as a good pop record once in a while, it’s not all The Cure and The Smiths here, I also love Madonna and think Katy Perry is just a delicious goth in disguise.
