I am a recovering addict, a wife, a mother to my sweet husky, Chloe, and a vegan for animal rights. I love anything creative and artistic, as I am quite the artsy type. I have a lot of issues that I struggle with, but I am fully aware of them and try hard to correct them - sometimes without success. I am passionate for justice and always seek it out. I am a realist, although some might say I'm just negative. I constantly seek knowledge. My only regrets in life are when I see injustice unfolding before my eyes and I say nothing and do nothing about it. I should have died many times in my life, but God miraculously kept me around, therefore I have to believe in Him. I believe in Jesus, but not the Jesus in the paintings or the passive doormat He is sometimes portrayed as. My idea of church is different than the building filled with people who wear masks for each other every Sunday morning. I've been through a lot in my life and I'd like to think it will all be worth it one day, but I'm not there yet.

I like the openess in your bio. You said, "My only regrets in life are when I see injustice unfolding before my eyes and I say nothing and do nothing about it." As a stranger in Christ, may I suggest, from now onwards if you see injustice unfolding before your eyes, PLEASE PRAY TO JESUS! ASK HIM FOR JUSTICE BECAUSE HE IS THE JUDGE OF THE WORLD! Say a silent prayer immediately even if at that moment if you are driving, walking, shopping or just passing by. The Lord will hear your prayer. Your prayer is the most precious thing one can ever have in Christ! God bless you and keep you save!

I do pray like that already, but thanks for the suggestion! I actually feel like prayer isn't enough sometimes. Too many Christians, in my opinion, sit around and wait for God to do all the work. Prayer is definitely important, but so is action. If you see someone being abused, for instance, and all you do is say a silent prayer for them, you are being irresponsible. Obviously, there are some situations we can't do anything about (so then prayer is the only option), but I'm more referring to situations where people *can* intervene, but won't. I watched a man physically abuse his dog in public a couple years ago and no one, including myself, did anything to stop him. It was so shocking because he was so open about it and it took everyone by surprise. People just looked on, but did nothing. He was trying to "train" his dog, but he screamed at it and forcefully handled it in a very cruel way. The dog was visibly terrified. I am ashamed of myself for not doing something. It's one of my biggest regrets in life. I wanted to kill this guy, but I let fear hold me back. Saying a little prayer in a situation like that is useless in that moment. You need to act. That's more what I'm talking about - when we are able to intervene, but don't. Like when someone is in trouble and the only way you help them is to pray. Is that really enough or is that just a cop-out? What if you can do more to help them? Would you? Life is a little more complicated than just saying "quick fix" prayers. I absolutely know prayer works, but it works even better when we participate in the process. Lion of Judah - I am not speaking directly at you about this, but you had an interesting thought that I am just responding to in a general sense. Don't take anything I'm saying personally. Thanks for the comment.
