I'm 22 years old and unable to live like all the other 22 year olds out there. Why you may ask? Well, I have Lyme Disease and under treatment. BUT Lyme Disease does not define who I am. I graduated college in May 2011 with a degree in Communication Studies. My faith and family are the two most important things in my life. During my spare time (which is like all the time), I read, blog, write, sew, craft and pinterest (I guess you could say that's a hobby). I think that is about it! Check out my blog for more details. I was expecting to read a blog dedicated to "lyme disease" but there wasn't. Can you distinguish a lyme disease from a lone star tick disease? What are the symptoms to watch out for and the necessary medications?

Hi Kim! Thanks for checking my blog out! Yeah I write about Lyme Disease every once in awhile...I don't want my blog to be all about it. To my knowledge there isn't much research that explains how Lyme and Lone Star Tick Disease is different...basically the Lone Star Tick disease is contracted by the "Lone Star Tick" (tick found in the South). What little research that has been applied to this, says that Lone Star Ticks cause STARI (southern tick associated rash illness) which is similiar to Lyme but not as bad. Because there are so many symptoms and different ways to treat, check out www.ilads.org. I have over 70 symptoms ranging from gastrointestinal, fatigue, nerve pain, vision, dental and more. I'm on a long term- high dose multiple antibiotic treatment in order to treat my Lyme & Bartonella. I hope this helped some...Lyme Disease is very overwhelming and serious disease. Be blessed :)
