Well I am a single mother of one little girl, I work full time and i just started going back to school full time. This is a little overwhelming at times but she is worth it. I graduated back in '04 and I have been a college student off and on for the better of five years, I have enough credits that I now have only one year left.

This has been a very long and busy week for me. Between work and school I dont think I have time to sleep. My teaching diversity for educators class is interesting, I like to see other people's point of view on issues that are occuring in the classrooms and in society. I like the class but their are some people in the class that are just rude, one girl in particular thinks because she was a history major she knows all of the history there is to know and she cuts everyone off who is trying to talk. The people in the class makes some valid points but its hard to stay foucus in the class when you have peolpe who just won't shut their mouths. It is difficult to pay attention to others when you have someone whispering in the back of the class, I hope it get better.

On wed I attended the Well's Built African American History and Culture which is in Orlando, the name is long to say than the visit. I enjoyed myself but I felt a little crampped in the building because everything was right there, the building itself used to be a hotel built by Dr. Wells back in 1929. The renovation started and it was opened up as a museum in 2000, Orlando has so much black history that I never even knew about and it is very positive. I was taken back by how slaves were sold back in 1880's, they printed signs that listed everything that was being sold by that particular person, these signs gave descriptions of they slaves the same why they describe their cattle. I say that because it was the most memorable thing that I read, I have read things like it before but it just stuck to me , we have come along way that is for sure. All in all it was a good visit and I will go back to visit again.

I am new to blogging and I really don't know what to do or how to blog. It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to write comments and I think i am computer literate (lol). I started a class last week that requires me to blog, so, this is a new experience. As for the class I think it will be interesting because it deals with how people feel about things that happen daily. Of course I understand that my views will be different from a lot of the students in the class so i am personally expecting to upset some people.
