This was a very interesting film. This definitely is classified as a black film. Twenty boys start out in Baltimore and travel to Africa, the motherland. I do in fact believe that sending the boys to Africa to ensure that they do have brighter futures ahead of them. Rather than have them stay in Baltimore with all of the poverty and crime surrounding them, because that makes it more likely that they will be like those people on the streets. Sending the boys to Africa also gave them an opportunity to discover and learn about where their ancestors came from or where black people in general came from. As well as the history of Africa. Sending the boys to Africa most definitely changed their lifestyles and made them realize that being one of those people on the streets is not cool and does nothing for a person’s life except bring about bad endings. I think this was a good film.
