Dove Mornington

Bio

I write under my pen name Dove.I write mostly about feelings in the game of "Second Life". I use myself as the experiment in-world, as I make myself vulnerable to all feelings in virtual reality. I am especially intrigued with internet relationships. I am a former psychotherapist enjoying a second career as a business owner.

As a small child I always had an "opinion" about something! I loved to write, create and explore my imagination. I'm not very different in this area today. I've called my blog "MIND MATTERS," because it does! I hope I can inspire, cause one to think, to ponder, to question. Maybe there will even be an "ah-ha" moment in there for some of you.

You'll find me writing most about life and inner growth or whatever inspires me!
Come, let's journey!

Hi Dove,

I read your "too be or not to be" and felt true empathy. I am sorry to hear about your loss. I too worte a blog titled "To Be or Not to Be" on my blog www.agismith.com/blog however, my blog tends to be silly fun. Maybe when you feel you need a chuckle or a distraction you'll read my nonsense.

May goodness travel your way!

Hello Dove! Such guts that you can combine handling a business and managing a writing career. What kind of business do you deal with? And if time comes when you have to give up one area of your life, which would it be-a profitable business or a prolific writing life? Which modern poet do you take after or inspires you? And what do you think is the best kind of business to handle in these times of global recession?

Thank you for your generous compliments. I work with real estate but if I had to choose Writing over my business..it woud be a tough choice as my business supports me and my writing is a hobby but something I MUST do, like breathing and eating. So I couldn't be totally happy without writing. I could never give it up. whereas, I could alwsys start another business! The poet and prose I love best is the work of Kahlil Gibran, not modern however. What inspires me is life experiences, my own passion trying to be freed! A good global recession business, hmmm, If you have something that someone needs then a service or product line business will always do well. When people cut back, they go to the basics. I always thought I should buy stock in toilet paper!

P.S. I formerly worked as a psychotherapist and that too was something that was very much part of who I am. So writing and helping people are areas of my life that I need to express in order to be fully happy. We are the ahppiest when we are being all of who we are. See my answers to your questions and below and thanks for some really good ones!
