Frederick Douglass was born in Febuary 1818 on the eastern shore of Maryland. he was seperated from his mother when he was only a few years old, so he never really knew her. Frederick Douglass went through many hard times in his life. he escaped from slavery, and became a very educated man, and a great speaker.
