Hi. My friends call me "Q". I work as an emergency doctor in a trauma unit in South Africa. I love to read and write. have been writing my journals since I was 11yrs old. However my old journals got washed away to sea during the gulf war. I love a good sense of humor. That’s the only thing that keeps ER doctors sane. My books selection include humor like “My Family and other Animals” and fiction apart from the medical books & journals I need to read. I used to be hot tempered and impatient, always timing myself, even the distance I would walk in my work place! No I do not suffer from OCD. My 3-year-old son has taught me to sit back and let life happen to me. So I am a bit laid back now...still learning the ropes of living sanely. Due to my profession I get flustered at times when I am bound by the Hippocratic oath from expressing myself verbally about some issues effecting people...issues we see everyday @work concerning the public.During my 10 years of experience I have realized that Doctors are always considered as a different species. A species that can be warm as they are cold hearted, a species that doesn't feel but has learnt to show emotions when required. I hope my blog will give an insight to the workings of a doctor’s mind. For now I hope to entertain you’ll with the silly world of medicine and life in my view on my page.
