Am I supposed to write this in the third person? Ah, screw it…

I’m an editor by day and a writer by night, which means I get to tear up people’s text and laugh about it when the sun is up… and cry when others do it to me by moonlight. I spill my words all over the internet in careless fashion, covering arts and entertainment as a contributing writer for one blog, composing comedy and media-satire bits on another, and dishing out writing advice and links on my own. My fiction has begun clawing its way from the crypt on various horror sites around the web as well.

Why do I write non-fiction with intent to amuse and fiction that is meant to disturb? The same reason I take black and white, high-contrast pictures of myself and use them for gravatars and author images: I feel like it.*

*I actually do the black and white pics because color ones look bad unless you have professional lighting gear. On the other hand, black and white is artsy and cool (in my feeble mind) and all you need is a cheap digital camera and a lamp with a removable shade.
