hi this is my blog and its all bout animals i have a trophy for animal caring and a few medals from some zoos that i went for working with my bro by taking care of the pangolins . and so i have a certificate for being the the best zoologist. and now i'm really looking forward for the next animal caring expedition to come . my name has been in the animal caring expedition for many years and i am really very proud of it. the organiser of the expedition had promoted me as the tour guide for the next coming expedition . but the very bad news is that i have not trained for plubic speaking yet. and so now i am going for debate classes plubic speaking . eventhough the organiser said that im very good at animals because i am always promoted for the best zoologist , but i still have many ore to learn because when i looked at the papers for the expedition , it almost blew me away ! they wanted me to say about animals that are extinct and some wierd ones that i haven't seen before . so i am really excited and nervous for the expedition . Hope you guys wish me luck !

Penguins (order Sphenisciformes, family Spheniscidae) are a group of aquatic, flightless birds living almost exclusively in the southern hemisphere, especially in Antarctica. Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage, and their wings have become flippers. Most penguins feed on krill, fish, squid, and other forms of sealife caught while swimming underwater. They spend about half of their lives on land and half in the oceans.

Although all penguin species are native to the southern hemisphere, they are not found only in cold climates, such as Antarctica. In fact, only a few species of penguin live so far south. Several species are found in the temperate zone, and one species, the Galápagos Penguin, lives near the equator.

The largest living species is the Emperor Penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri): adults average about 1.1 m (3 ft 7 in) tall and weigh 35 kg (75 lb) or more. The smallest penguin species is the Little Blue Penguin (Eudyptula minor), also known as the Fairy Penguin, which stands around 40 cm tall (16 in) and weighs 1 kg (2.2 lb). Among extant penguins, larger penguins inhabit colder regions, while smaller penguins are generally found in temperate or even tropical climates (see also Bergmann's Rule). Some prehistoric species attained enormous sizes, becoming as tall or as heavy as an adult human. These were not restricted to Antarctic regions; on the contrary, subantarctic regions harboured high diversity, and at least one giant penguin occurred in a region not quite 2,000 km south of the equator 35 mya, in a climate decidedly warmer than today.

A pangolin (pronounced /ˈpæŋɡəlɪn/), also scaly anteater or Tenggiling, is a mammal of the order Pholidota. There is only one extant family (Manidae) and one genus (Manis) of pangolins, comprising eight species. There are also a number of extinct taxa. Pangolins have large keratin scales covering their skin and are the only mammals with this adaptation.[2] They are found in tropical regions of Africa and Asia. The name "pangolin" derives from the Malay word pengguling ("something that rolls up").

Pangolins are nocturnal animals, and use their well-developed sense of smell to find insects. The long-tailed pangolin is also active by day. Pangolins spend most of the daytime sleeping, curled up into a ball.[3]

Pangolins were classified with various other orders, for example Xenarthra, which includes the ordinary anteaters, sloths, and the similar-looking armadillos. But newer genetic evidence[4] indicates that their closest living relatives are the Carnivora, with which they form the clade Ferae.[5] Some paleontologists have classified the pangolins in the order Cimolesta, together with several extinct groups.
