I'm a blogger by fluke. I'm also an author by fluke. I was a fashion designer who became an advertising copywriter (with a few big awards) who retired and ended up being an author after swearing never to write another sentence for the rest of her life. Famous last words. As it turned out, I wrote a good book - a page-turning thriller entitled The Tangled Web, which is basically set in Jamaica, but trots all over the globe. The Tangled Web having been published, I'm now on my second novel. This one is a historic romance - well, maybe that's an over simplification in describing such a complex plot. But to cut a long story short, the research for my current book, which includes what people wore in 1802, re-awakened my interest in fashion and that led to writing a blog called ALL DRESSED UP, which I started in September, 2011. The category I selected for it in the listings is also a simplification. There really is no category for a blog that journeys from 6,000 BC to the present, stopping at every era in between to check out what people were wearing. And it's not just about what people wore, because you can't separate fashion from the events of the time or the larger-than-life characters you meet along the way.
