Kendra,
Thank you so much for those kind words you wrote on my wall. I'm blown away. It's so encouraging for me to hear of someone who benefits from my blog - that's the reason I write. It's difficult for me to post consistently, but comments like yours make me want to press on!
I'm so sorry to hear about the destruction that has swept through your home. {Not trying to plug my blog here, but I did write a post called God and UnNatural Disasters that may help you or someone you know deal with the "Why God?" question that comes with this kind of disaster.} What a clear reminder that my transitions are so trivial compared to ones that you are going through, but nonetheless, we each must rely on God to provide. I will continue to lift up you and your community in prayer.
If you'd like to connect via email, mine is justonebeggar@gmail.com. Please feel free to send me a note anytime and let me know if there is anything myself or my church in NC can do for your community.

Oh hhi! I am so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. :) Thank you also. I am so glad that those words were encouraging to you. :) That is wonderful! I am glad you told me about your post. I'll check it out and thank you, thank you for the prayers! That means everything. I will add you to my contacts and definitely email you. That was so kind for you to offer help to the area too. :) We had a lot of problems trying to volunteer. Only 2 churches were allowing us to set up with disaster relief and we ended up making it work. There were wonderful people from all over who came & we cooked SO much and that helped a lot of the people who needed things and were able to come eat. I guess they're not accepting any more help though for some reason. I really don't understand why, but they told a few people that had come from a couple hours away that they had to leave and weren't allowed to help :( I guess it was because of the people who were "soliciting" and stealing things from homes that were destroyed and from storage builings. How sad! Anyways, I am so glad to have been able to connect with you here. :)
Do keep in touch!
