Sympathy
In the poem Sympathy by Paul Laurence Dunbar the speaker talks about a caged bird but we the "all stars" will interpret this poem in both how the bird feels and how a human feels.

If i didn't learn nothing while in this cage I've learn how to take care of what i got and enjoy the freedom that I have in which may people long for.
there is this saying that goes "things happen for a reason". But being caged up is not something anyone people what to happen to them.
I forgot how it feels to be love how it feels to have a smile on my face sitting here remembering I was not born to live in cages…They say things happen for a reason but this is not something anyone should go through. It breaks my heart and sometimes I can’t help but cry.
we all have been lost of love , going to diffrent path but loosing sight of the right one . but things happens for a reason but don't cry but move up dear :)
I still believe there is some hope left out there for an enslaved black brother and one day we will true and freely have the right that we are entitled to… I hear the laughter and the chatter from inside of these rusty bars and I’m dying to be free.
sigh...........I’ve had enough my brothers feel the same way what is so different about the others who get to sleep comfortable in the house we are all produces of slave while they work us to death, rape and beat us they still have the heart to walk around this plantation with a smile on their pale long boney faces.
Fighting for my rights the rights I was born with the right of being free I wonna spread my wings and fly freely in to the open air and feel the wind in my hair I want to have friends I wonna lay eggs and have mini ME’s....What will it take for me to prove to you that I deserve to live on my only free will until the father is ready to take me
In my life I've felt the pain and i cry tears like rain and if die my name remains. I sit here wondering what did I ever do wrong in this life time or the one before to be treated with such hostilities not only me but my fellow black brothers who are in the same situations I’ve found out that crying doesn’t help singing helps me to forget the pain a little. The last thing I haveis hope and faith and i will keep praying
Beating my wings on the cage doesn't hurt as much as being trapped in the cage, it hurts to wake up every morning just wanting to spread my wings and fly across the stream breath in some fresh air and to find out that I can't.
I keep hoping, praying that one day, may be just one day these people will grow a heart. This one goes out to those who have been trapped in a cage chained up, enslave I know why the caged bird sings. One bright morning I will be free and safe and when that day comes we will all have freedom
Why does the caged bird sings?
I sing because I feel free, I sing to drown out the pain I feel deep down inside. Sometimes I wonder if it is that hard for you to hear the pain in my voice. Iis it that hard for you to see that this prison you've got me chained up in is killing me. Don't you think it’s unfair for me to be chained up in a cage unhappy while you are living free will doing what ever you want to do when every you want.....this is why the i sings for freedom
gosh , this really touched me . i also love that story . every time i hear this part of the story it would give me the chills
