Human interst and prominance are the two important news elements in this news. If she is not first lady, who cares about what she wears a grows, jeans or whatever. Actually, prominence is always connected to the human interest. People care about everything that famous people do, especially their boyfriend/girlfriend, fashion, and something bad and so on. Famous people always show their perfect in screen thus make the audience interest to their personal life. In this piece of news, I did not read any writer’s personal ideas about Michelle Obama’s gown; I think it true to let audiences to make comments. First lady actually can lead a fashion icon like Diana Spencer. However, for me, I didn’t see any icons in first lady’s gown. If Michelle Obama’s gown is beautiful enough, it will be a buying spree in the world. Likewise, if this gown did not wear by Michelle Obama, it is only placed in a store window; I will just pass by and go to the next store. It is first lady’s prominence to let people know this gown and the designer’s of this gown, but people will use rose-tinted spectacles to make comments of her if it is not good.
