Until I turned 31 I worked, worked and worked squeezing in a few trips here and there. In February 09 I decided that it was time to do something else with my life than just going to the office every day even though I loved my job. Instead I was going to do something that I had dreamed of doing ever since I scribbled down my first route for an inter rail trip around Europe when I was 12. I set myself a schedule: by September I would have emptied my flat, sold my books, cd's and unnecessary clothes and saved enough money so that I could take off with a one-way flight to India.

Before the big trip I have traveled to 54 countries in Europe, both Americas, Africa and Asia. The one continent I have yet to get to is Australia. I hope to travel to a hundred countries in my life time - a goal that would certainly have been unattainable without one big trip. It might take more than though...

This blog chronicles my trip around the world which began with a one-way flight to Delhi and no plan. I am hoping to make it to a hundred countries before I return home.
