Life is a really interesting journey. Our route, our travel partners and our destination are all of what make it interesting. I'm the kind of person who thinks about this all the time, so I'd say I'm on a pilgrimage. There are things on my journey that confuse me, others that intrigue me, some that thrill me, and of course, hindrances that block me. And sometimes it seems like I'm at the same place I was a couple years back. But I don't think I am. Maybe the view looks familiar because I'm on the same road as before, just a couple hundred feet higher.

My blog is about my journey to find myself and God. I am a follower of Christ, but I don't like following other people's ideas of how to do this unless I come to see it that way too. I often find myself looking around to see how I got to where I am, or to figure out just where I am! This way, I come up with interesting insights and discoveries. Life is always interesting, and mine is usually somehow difficult, but I see it as a growth process, an overcoming process. We overcome as we make discoveries.

My discoveries are often made while traveling. It was while traveling in Germany that I met my German husband and stayed here. Traveling in Europe is easy and is something I often do.
