I like writing - poems mostly. I recently self-published a small e-book of poems on Amazon.com (the cover of which is my profile picture here - which was a suggestion from an insightful blogger's friend). I also do abit of painting/art and drawing, some of which are also included in the e-book. I hope one day to leave my current job and work for myself in the arts arena - I believe this is were my passion truly lies.
My small e-book is "LIFE INTERRUPTED, POETRY STORIES - A Small Collection of Poems and More" - Novlette Surjue - US$5.49. One poem is:
STAR HORSES
Through space, they move in time
With flowing manes and trailing tails
Wide nasal tracks forcing speed
Leaving behind, miles of many … an hour
In steady, sure shape, that suggests power
They are spirits of untold grace
With horse sense, in deep penetrating gaze
Beauties to charm, upset their spirits not
They’ll rage like a storm, but why …

Thanks for connecting and best of luck with your writing. I self published too and it is a lot of fun, the hardest part is marketing. Which I am also enjoying. I am doing a blograiser right now to raise awareness about my book. So far it's going well.
