Η Κρίστυ Εμίλιο Ιωαννίδου γεννήθηκε στην Πόλη των Αθηνών. Είναι συγγραφεύς, Ναυτικός του Ε.Ν. κι εξειδικεύεται σε μελέτες σχετικά με την ναυτιλία στην αρχαία Ελλάδα (εμπορικό / πολεμικό ναυτικό, στρατηγική και ανάλυση ναυτικών επιχειρήσεων).
Ανέπτυξε αξιόλογη συγγραφική δραστηριότητα (άρθρα, μελέτες, αναλύσεις κλπ)
Είναι μέλος του Ελληνικού Ινστιτούτου Στρατηγικών Μελετών (ΕΛ.Ι.Σ.ΜΕ.), του Ναυτικού Μουσείου Ελλάδος. Είναι παντρεμένη με τον δημοσιογράφο κι αμυντικό αναλυτή Ιωάννη Σ. Θεοδωράτο κι έχουν μία κόρη.
