― Whenever a song is released that is a remake of a much-loved classic, I am subjected to a whole lotta grumbling from my husband. It never fails to spark off the usual argument between us. He calls the remake a rip-off and says they shouldn't get away with it, there outta be a law, how dare they ruin his favourite music...and so on (this is the concise version, usually the diatribe lasts for much longer).
