Puppy Talk
― I've become her again. I cringe as I remember when I first became a mother, and all I ever talked about was the baby. My every thought was of the baby, of his bodily functions, of his feeding, of his sleeping, of my sleeping (or lack thereof). My non-parent friends are saints for putting up with my chatter. ∙ It is natural to talk about this new element of your life, so I don't begrudge new parents their baby chatter.
